Midea Carrier Chile equipment can contribute to LEED certification

Equipos de Midea Carrier Chile pueden contribuir a obtener la certificación LEED

Chile. Midea Carrier Chile includes in its commercial portfolio air conditioning and sanitary water equipment that can add up to 50 of the 110 points in the evaluation of a LEED certification.

The company has highlighted that the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification has become a key standard for evaluating the design, construction and operation of sustainable buildings. To achieve this certification, several aspects are evaluated, such as energy use and indoor environmental quality, where the air conditioning system plays a crucial role.

According to the head of HVAC products at Midea Carrier Chile, Pierre Dréano, "in Chile there are 282 projects with LEED certification and this figure continues to increase, reflecting a greater social awareness of the environmental impact of buildings." This is also explained by the fact that sustainable building practices reduce operating costs, increase productivity, and improve air quality.

"This type of initiative not only optimizes the use of energy and resources, reducing environmental impact, but also benefits communities and building occupants," says Dréano.

One of the most outstanding products is the Carrier France 30KAVPZE chiller with R1234ze refrigerant and an IPLV above 6.5 W/W, known for its high energy efficiency, low noise level, intelligence and connectivity, in addition to its respect for the environment," explained the expert.
