International. Bitzer announced that the Ecoline C3 series (and later series) reciprocating compressors assembled at its Schkeuditz factory now have the new IQ Module CM-RC-02 incorporated.
Since the beginning of the year, the company has been replacing the SE-B3 protective devices with the CM-RC-02. This new generation of the IQ Module optimizes the installation, operation, maintenance and modernization of compressors for refrigeration systems, air conditioning and heat pumps.
For a limited time, compressors can also be ordered with software configured to simulate the functions of the SE-B3, in which case the compressor can be installed in the control cabinet or even replaced without modification.
Installation & Operation
In addition to monitoring key compressor parameters, the IQ Module can also operate compressor motor and oil heater protection, while also controlling the discharge gas temperature and oil supply.
Additionally, the high-pressure switch can be connected directly to the compressor module, as the IQ Module simply requires the signal from the system's top controller switch to activate the compressor.
Accessory Integration
The additional functions included in the optional range of services for Bitzer reciprocating compressors (capacity control, oil level monitoring and control, and liquid injection) can be electrically connected to the IQ Module to simplify control cabinet wiring and reduce the number of control outputs required.
There are three optional extension plates to choose from, each with different features. The operating logic of peripheral devices has been improved to reduce energy consumption and increase compressor availability.
Finally, the Best software and app can be used to configure the compressor and its accessories, as well as to display historical and operating data, with data visualization providing quick and easy on-site support.
