International. Tecumseh recently announced the appointment of Ricardo Maciel as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Jay Pittas, who had been serving as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors simultaneously.
From now on, Pittas will dedicate himself fully to chairing the board of directors, from where he will contribute with his experience to the growth of the organization. "It has been an honor to lead Tecumseh as CEO and President. Now, I am excited to devote myself fully to the activities of the board of directors and am confident in the future success of the company".
Maciel is a recent President of Tecumseh Europe and Asia and is widely recognized for his understanding of the HVAC industry, transformational leadership, and ability to drive top-of-the-line profitable growth.
Maciel shared his excitement about his new role: "I look forward to collaborating with the team around the world to deliver value and an unmatched experience to our customers and business partners. Together, we will build on the strong legacy established by Jay and lead the company into its next phase of growth and innovation".
Pittas expressed confidence in Maciel's leadership, stating, "Finding a capable person to lead Tecumseh has been a priority and I

The company described the transition process as a smooth handover of responsibilities while maintaining continuity in Tecumseh's strategic direction. This approach was put forward with the goal of allowing Maciel to build on the foundation laid by Pittas.
