Chile will have two HVAC/R shows by 2024

Chile

Chile. Santiago de Chile will have two trade shows for the air conditioning and refrigeration industry next year. The first of them, Expo Frío Calor Chile, will be held from May 7 to 9 at Centro Parque; while the second fair, Expo HVACR Chile, will take place from May 15 to 17 at a venue to be confirmed.

Expo Frío Calor Chile is now the show organized by the Chilean Chamber of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (CCHRYC) together with Palafito Producciones. While Expo HVACR Chile, is carried out by Arma Productora, an entity that previously organized Expo Frío Calor Chile in conjunction with the CCHRYC, but as of this year both entities took different directions and will seek to successfully do each of these fairs.

What happened? Why are there two fairs in Chile?
At the end of last June, the Chilean Chamber of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning issued a statement signed by its president, Klaus Peter Schmid Spilker, announcing the end of relations between the association and Arma Productora, who had worked together for the realization of the first five editions of Expo Frío Calor Chile.

"This decision has been made after a careful evaluation of various factors and circumstances. We wish to emphasize that this resolution has not been taken lightly and is the result of thorough consideration. It is important to note that the end of the contract does not imply any negative judgment on the performance or contribution of the company Arma Productora Chile SpA, and we value the work done during the time they were with us. We wish them every success in their future endeavors," commented Klaus Peter Schmid.

Additionally, Schmid, stressed that "now Expo Frío Calor Chile is a registered trademark, property of the Chilean Chamber of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning A.G., in the extent of all its tools (name, logo, digital extensions, among others) and its improper use or similarities, can be punished by law. "

For its part, ACR Latinoamerica spoke with Fabián Armagnague, director of Arma Productora, who stressed that during the realization of the last show together some reasons were presented, especially of forms of contract payment caused by the pandemic, which caused a low response in the last edition of the show and lower income, and that led to the termination of the contract, after a close relationship that was born in 2011.

About his experience in the trade shows, Fabián complemented that with Arma Productora "we have been the organizers of Expo Frío Calor in each of the countries where we carry out our exhibitions. With investment, human resources, commercial management, dissemination, promotion and academic activities, we strive to make this exhibition a success. We will continue to work with the values of respect and business ethics that represent every businessman."

Arma Productora also confirmed that it will continue working in its specialized industry fairs in other countries such as Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
