In most HVAC systems, pressure drop is considered an aspect that should be minimized or avoided. However, inside a heat exchanger, too low a pressure drop generates little turbulence across the plates, increasing the risk of fouling. In this webinar we will review the selection of heat exchangers for HVAC and data center cooling applications. We will also explain how to size heat exchangers to achieve optimal pressure drops, flow rates, and mean logarithmic temperature differences (LMTDs), with the goal of optimizing selection without compromising performance.
