Colombia. The Technical Meeting of Construction – ETC, is an academic event that has been developed uninterruptedly since 2016, which has national and international speakers and includes topics related to the search for best practices in construction processes. It also has a commercial exhibition, appointments and networking, which serve as a stage for interaction and business for those who are related to the sector. Likewise, within the programming of the ETC 2021, the Camacol Antioquia Innovation Award will also be awarded.
In its sixth edition, the Technical Meeting of Construction, will be held virtually, from July 21 to August 6, 2021 and is aimed at builders, consultants, project promoters, industrialists, designers and specifiers, marketers and distributors, students, teachers, installation specialists, contractors, employees and technicians of the industry, commerce and sales sectors of the construction value chain, public sector entities, guilds and organizations and others related to the sector.
The objective of the Meeting is to update technical and innovation issues on the construction industry, promote products and services within the chain of this industry, generate business opportunities, connecting potential customers with different companies that have the offer of interest and strengthen the culture of innovation in a way that contributes to the productive transformation of the sector, to respond to the technological requirements that the industry requires.
Themes
The academic activity of the ETC will have two rooms, simultaneously, between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on July 27, 28 and 29, with conferences that will develop important thematic axes. Some of the topics and talks included are: Innovation, with the conferences "Innovation and Internet of Things" and "Productivity and Innovation"; Technology with "Advanced topographic models in drone technologies", and Productivity, with the talks "Business Intelligence for construction", "PMI management models for the construction sector" and "Mckinsey".
In the same way, there will be the themes of Sustainability, with "Sustainability strategies. Alliance for Sustainable Construction", "What is the update of the Sustainable Building Regulations" and "CEO World Green Building Council"; BIM, with "Cases of successful application in the BIM implementation in the company – BIM Forum Colombia", "Cases of successful application in the BIM implementation in the construction project (BRA)", "Cases of successful application in the BIM implementation in the construction project" and "BIM coding system for construction".
Topics of Technical Regulation will also be developed, with the talk "In what is the update of the NSR 22" (Colombia), and Materials and construction systems, with "Pathology of brick", "Concrete technologies for building", "Structures that defy gravity", "Advanced construction systems in works of great magnitude. Bridge case in Kuwait" and "Resistance tests, what and how to evaluate the structural elements in the work".
On the other hand, the academic program of the ETC includes a complete agenda of free talks by the exhibitors, also with two rooms available, which will be held between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., from July 21 to 30, except for the weekend, open to the general public, which includes launches of products or services, news, updates, developments and innovations.
Records
The Technical Meeting of Construction has at the disposal of the interested parties three modalities of registration:
- General with ETC conferences: people registered under this modality will have access to the conferences of the academic agenda of the Technical Meeting of Construction, to the commercial exhibition, appointments and networking and to the free talks of the exhibitors, with a fee of $ 150,000 = for registration.
- General without ETC conferences: Access to the commercial exhibition, appointments and networking and to the free talks of the exhibitors FREE of CHARGE for registration.
- Students: there is a special rate for students of related careers, who will have access to the conferences of the academic agenda of the ETC, to the commercial exhibition and to the free talks of the exhibitors, with a value of $ 85,000 = for registration.

Commercial exhibition and networking
The commercial exhibition will have companies producing, manufacturers, distributors and / or marketers of products or services or others related to the building activity, such as Engineering Services, construction designs-Software and others; Services of Architecture, designs and equipment, Steels, profiles and metal structures; Metal formalettes, scaffolding and equipment; Cements, concrete and prefabricated, Machinery and Equipment; Roofs, skies and tiles, enclosures, walls and facades; Materials, electrical and lighting accessories, hydraulic, sanitary and gas accessories; Locks, doors, glass and windows.
There will also be exhibiting companies with an offer of Floors and Veneers, Paints and Coatings, Wood Carpentry; Hardware and Tool; Adhesives, insulation and waterproofing; Kitchens, bathrooms and taps; Household appliances and gas appliances; Urban and Interior Furniture; Home automation, security and communications; Special systems and equipment, elevators, solar energy, air conditioners and swimming pools; Bricks and stoneware products, Protection and safety on site.
Visitors will be able to know all the information of the company and / or products, they will also have different contact options with the exhibitor, private chat on the platform and appointments scheduled on the same platform to interact and generate business opportunities.
Innovation Award
The Camacol Antioquia Innovation Award, which has been awarded since 2019, is a contest aimed at companies affiliated to the Department's Construction Guild, active in the Guild as of June 28, 2021, which seeks to identify, recognize, exalt and show as an example before the business community and society in general, those initiatives that constitute a true innovation with a significant contribution to the improvement of productivity or competitiveness at any of the stages, as well as to the companies that intervene in the construction value chain, with the conviction that through innovation the sector evolves, progresses and improves for the good of the industry, of the region and the country.
The delivery of the recognition and presentation of the winners, in this third edition of the Award, will be made on July 30, within the programming of the Technical Meeting of Construction and the winners will be selected among the innovation initiatives presented by each company in the modalities of Construction Systems, Construction Management Models, Improvements in design, Products and materials, Commercial and financing management, Applications and platforms of technological and/or information management and project management and control systems.
