Full Gauge Controls and Fiocruz guarantee the quality of vaccines against covid-19

Full Gauge Controls y FiocruzBrazil. The Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), an agency of the Ministry of Health, is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the doses of the North American Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine that arrive in Brazil since the end of March, especially with regard to rigid ones. temperatures necessary for its conservation.

Fiocruz prepared to receive them by acquiring cold rooms equipped with Full Gauge Controls temperature controllers and Sitrad Pro remote management software, guaranteeing the -25 ° C necessary for the conservation of drugs and, thus, complying with Anvisa standards.

The company SmartMonit Brasil, from Rio de Janeiro, was in charge of installing the drivers and software. Selected products from Full Gauge Controls were MT-512E Log (refrigerator and freezer control), MT-530E Super (ambient temperature control) and MT-543E Log (freezer control for temperatures of -8°C).

In addition, the facilities were also instrumental in the production of the active pharmaceutical ingredient (IFA) of the COVID-19 vaccine, approved on April 30, 2021 by Anvisa. Thus, Fiocruz is authorized to start the production of pilot batches, on a commercial scale, of the vaccine with the IFA produced in Brazil. The technical approval was carried out after an inspection that verified the good manufacturing practices of the production line at the Institute of Technology in Bio-Manguinhos Immunobiological Of Fiocruz.

Roberto Simonal and Guto Castro, partners of SmartMonit Brazil, affirm that thanks to the alliance with Full Gauge Controls, it was possible to carry out the installations at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. "I have no doubt that the quality of the controllers and the competence of those involved were fundamental to closing this important contract for the Brazilian population," reinforces Roberto Simonal.

As for the remote management service, Roberto praises the speed of reading and the immediate alerts sent by the Sitrad Pro system. Regarding the technical support offered by Full Gauge Controls, he says that the speed with which they were always attended made it seem that there was no physical distance between the teams.

In addition to the vaccine sector, Full Gauge Controls products were also installed in laboratories and freezers for the storage of the cocktail distributed to the population carrying the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
