The company Tripp Lite launched three new cooling solutions: the Portable Units Srcool18k and Srcool24k, with greater capacity and mobility; and the Srcool7krm which is the first unit of its kind to be installed in a rack or cabinet, as well as being compatible with EIA (Electronic Industries Alliance).
Both the Srcool18k and Srcool24k can be installed closer to racks and equipment than perimeter cooling units, providing efficient direct coupling cooling. For its part, the Srcool7krm occupies 8U to be mounted in rack or cabinet. By optimizing cooling where it is most needed, the units are ideal as primary, backup, or complementary cooling systems in server rooms, data centers, or other applications with heat-sensitive equipment.
Thanks to their mobility and autonomy, the two new portable units are easy to install and do not require a specialist for their commissioning; for example, the Srcool24k includes a pre-installed network card that helps site administrators monitor and control via SNMP, Web, SSH or telnet. For its part, the Srcool18k, also offers remote monitoring and control with the addition of an optional management accessory via The Web.
