United States. The Institute of Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration (AHRI) announced two new developments in its executive team.David B. Calabrese, vice president of public policy, will become vice president of policy, and James Walters, director of international affairs, will become the new vice president of international affairs.
David has been with the Institute since 2008, with more than 17 years of experience in government relations, having served as Director of Government Relations for the Electronic Industries Alliance, as well as Vice President of the same area in the Appliance Manufacturers Association.
James has been with AHRI since 1999, working 25 years at the American Petroleum Institute. He is a member of Ashrae, ASTM International, the Society of Engineering Standards and the Center for Global Standards Strategies for the Catholic University.
Stephen Yurek, president of AHRI, says that the assent of both executives is a recognition of the commitment, hard work and dedication they show in their daily work at the Institute and in the industry.
