Italy. In early 2010 Carel opened a new office in South Korea as part of its purpose to expand commercially worldwide. In August 2009, the company also opened a branch in Russia.The new office, known as Carel HVAC&R Korea Ltd, will be led by Shannon Ang, Managing Director of Carel Asia, who will focus on the refrigeration, air conditioning and humidification markets.
This opening will allow Carel's partner, Carel Korea Co. Ltd., to focus its actions on the retail sector, a field in which this company has been successful for many years. Carel Korea Co Ltd has been named as the exclusive distributor for retail affiliates in Korea.
"This transaction represents a further step for Carel globally," said Gian Lombello, the company's general manager of sales and marketing, adding that "we are confident that this reorganization will generate greater opportunities for growth and make cooperation in Korea more fruitful."
