United States. The World Organization of International Property granted Horiba Instruments the new patent for the device that disperses dry particle samples during the presentation of the particle size measuring equipment sample. In a typical instrument, the user places the sample inside a hopper, which distributes the sample in a link unit to regulate the flow rate of the sample to be sent to the measurement unit.
The particles in the sample adhere together due to electrostatic, magnetic or other similar forces, even in a dry state. The result can cause fluctuations in sample flow and sample dispersion which can lead to errors when measuring devices attempt to evaluate and analyze the sample.
The newly patented dry particle supply equipment can provide particles in a homogeneous elemental state and a continuous flow rate.
