USA USA Emerson Climate Technologies acquired compressor maker Vilter Manufacturing, LLC, of Cudahy, Wisconsin, in a transaction whose terms were not disclosed.Vilter compressors are used in a wide range of industrial refrigeration systems and gas compression applications, including reciprocating and screw compressors. The firm will join emerson climate technologies' refrigeration division. This will strengthen the division's supply and distribution network, with 31 international distribution points and 72 in the United States.
Ed Purvis, executive vice president and business leader of Emerson Climate Technologies, said the acquisition will allow them to expand the existing product offering and strengthen their position in the refrigeration industry, adding that "Vilter has a respected brand that will enhance our presence in the food processing and cold storage segments."
