USA AHRI, the trade association representing manufacturers of commercial air conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment, released the January dispatch figures this year and the percentage decrease, compared to the same month last year.222,419 (32% less) central air conditioning units and thermal pumps with air supply were dispatched. The total number of pumps was 91,360 (29% less), while the number of air furnaces heated with gas dispatched was 134,370 (22% less). The total number of hot air and fuel-heated furnaces was 3,316 (43% less).
313,177 residential water heaters were dispatched for electricity (8% less). Residential gas water heaters totaled 315,861 (down 1%). The dispatch of commercial water heaters fell by 16% (6,016 units) and the total of commercial water heaters by electricity was 4,771 (8% less).
