From 10 to 12 March 2009 will be held CholodExpo Rossija, the only show in Russia dedicated to refrigeration. The Crocus Expo Center in Moscow will host this event that demonstrates the growth that the industry has had in that country. In fact, the volume of the refrigeration market in Russia increased by 30% between 2005 and 2007, especially in the fields of refrigerated transport, energy efficiency and environmental protection, markets in which new business areas are observed.In addition, to the 69 million refrigeration equipment installed in Russia, 6 million more are added every year. Next to the Agricultural Industry, the main recipient is the air conditioning equipment segment which grew by 20% due to the construction boom in 2007. According to Alexander Baranenko, president of the International Cold Academy, the turnover of the industrial refrigeration segment in Russia will amount to 923.1 million US dollars in 2008. For 2009, it estimates that the increase will be 14 percent, or $1053.2 million, and 14.5 percent more in 2010 to reach a total of $1206.6 million, an overall increase of 63 percent compared to 2007.
Faced with the opportunity to penetrate this interesting market, the list of exhibitors already includes important companies in the industry such as Emerson, Grasso, Güntner, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Lu-Ve, Rivacold, Teko or Thermofin. The main focus of the event, energy efficiency, will be discussed in the conference program along with other topics such as state of development and prospects of the refrigeration industry in Russia.
