American Standard Company Changes Name to Trane

Mexico. Trane debuts from that year as the new name of the company formerly known as American Standard. Trane's shares are traded under the symbol "TT" on the New York Exchange Market (NYSE), the same shares that were previously traded under the symbol "ASD" when the company was known as American Standard.
"Today marks the successful conclusion of our separation plan announced in February," son of President and CEO Fred Poses. "Since then, we have spun off our vehicle control systems business and sold our kitchen and bathroom business. Our new name reflects the business we focus on and our world leadership in providing integrated HVAC systems, services and solutions."
