Ciar Congress 2007, exceeded expectations

Peru. The IX Ibero-American Congress of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, CIAR 2007, which was held at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, exceeded all expectations by receiving the visit of approximately three thousand people, both to its academic days and to the commercial exhibition of the Technology Fair.

This event was developed with two configurations: one was the congress with academic days, where 55 works from the different Ibero-American countries were presented. The other was the Technology Fair where companies in the HVAC/R sector showed the latest of their products with a total of 38 exhibitors both nationally and abroad. The companies had the opportunity to spread the benefits of their products in free technical-commercial talks and the participation of their customers.

"During the realization of the IX Ciar, for the first time in Peru, the president of ASHRAE, Kent Peterson, was visited, who gave a keynote lecture and then held a meeting with the students of Mechanical Engineering, being pleasantly impressed by the questions, concerns and desires of students to join ASHRAE, "said Luis Yamada, in charge of the organization of the event. In this way, this successful fair ended, in charge of uniting the entire region.
