Colombia. With more than a hundred attendees and the participation of six high-profile exhibitors, Building Automation Days by KNX LATAM, Colombia edition, established itself as the most relevant event of the KNX ecosystem in Latin America to date.
Architects, engineers, integrators, businessmen and representatives of the National Government met in a conference that combined technical knowledge, strategic networking and cutting-edge demonstrations in building automation.
The meeting, which reaffirms Colombia as a key node in the adoption of KNX technologies, offered a robust academic programme and practical sessions focused on sustainability, energy efficiency, interoperability and digital transformation of built spaces.
Among the highlights, the KNX ETS software update workshop, given by Carlos Castro, CEO of the Sayros Group, provided key tools to professionals for the implementation of intelligent solutions.
The panel of conferences included technical and strategic visions by:
- Juan Palomino, president of the KNX Colombia National Group, with a comparative analysis between automation standards.
- Luis Fernando Mulcue, PhD, solar scientist, on integrating photovoltaics with KNX.
- Esteban Martínez, COO of Green Loop, with a focus on green buildings and return on investment.
- Alejandra Casilimas and David Ricardo González, from Double C by Conconcreto, who shared real cases of water and energy efficiency in Colombia.
- Sandra Mariño and Pablo Ossa, from Zennio, who presented KNX solutions for smart hotels and homes.
In addition to the talks, the event facilitated spaces of high relational value such as business lunches and coffee breaks, designed to foster new alliances and share experiences between key players in the sector.
At the end of the day, the official launch of the Latin America Building Automation Summit 2026 was held, which will be held on November 11 and 12, 2026 in Medellín, and will include the KNX LATAM Summit and a specialized automation show.
With this edition, Building Automation Days is strengthened as a reference platform for the updating, collaboration and expansion of the KNX standard in Latin America.
