Brazil. Embraco announced its official entry into the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) market following the acquisition of the specialized company Xecom, and the launch of a new line of scroll compressors.
With this strategic move, the brand expands its presence beyond commercial and residential refrigeration, now encompassing solutions for applications such as cold rooms, heat pumps, rooftop chillers, compact units and central home air conditioning systems.
"This is a milestone for Nidec Global Appliance and Embraco. We became a brand for all climates," said Alberto Casnati, president of Nidec Global Appliance. "With this addition, we strengthen our technological capabilities and our position as a provider of complete solutions in refrigeration, heating and air conditioning."
The new range of scroll compressors covers power outputs from 1.2 HP to 35 HP and is compatible with refrigerants such as R410A, R404A, R290 and low-GWP options (including A2L), allowing it to meet the most demanding international regulations. These equipment are designed to serve both the OEM and aftermarket markets, in the residential and commercial segments.
Recognized for their energy efficiency, reliability and performance, scroll compressors were already part of Embraco's portfolio. However, this expansion marks a turning point for the brand, under the concept "One Brand, All Climates", with which Embraco seeks to position itself as a relevant player in the HVAC ecosystem.
With more than five decades of experience, Embraco has been synonymous with innovation in refrigeration. "This new chapter responds to a planned strategy. We will leverage our global distribution network and expertise in energy-efficient technologies to provide more comprehensive support to our customers, without losing sight of our values of trust, excellence and service," added Casnati.
