International. Reliable Controls released the new version 3.16.1 of RC-WebView, its browser-based building management platform, which incorporates key functionalities to facilitate remote configuration, improve interoperability between systems and streamline the operation of smart buildings.
Among the main new features is offline mode, which allows administrators to design, configure and validate user interfaces without needing to be connected to a live system. This tool facilitates the creation and testing of Navigation Groups, Navigation Trees and Business Schedules, which can be synchronized later with the live system, reducing errors and work times.
Also noteworthy is the integration with RESTful APIs, which enables the reading and writing of data from controllers, functioning as a bridge between platforms with different protocols. This capability enhances interoperability, enables the development of custom applications and dashboards, and provides real-time access to building operational data.
Another practical addition is the option to export systems as work packages in .zip format, which standardizes the configuration and simplifies the process in the RC-Studio tool.
Additional improvements in RC-WebView 3.16.1:
- Faster save and load speeds in Enterprise Schedules and System Groups.
- Ability to search for Manual Point Report sheets by system and add them to Navigation Groups and Trees.
- User attribution in audit logs and alarm history PDFs.
- Lower memory usage in Navigation Groups with alarm animations, which improves performance in extended sessions.
"With RC-WebView 3.16.1, we are giving building operators more flexibility and control than ever before," said Robert Prinz, Product Owner at Reliable Controls. "Offline mode advances the design process without the need for a connection to the live system, the RESTful API allows for convenient integrations, and overall performance improvements help our users work faster. This release focuses on improving the efficiency of engineering work."
