Mexico. The national closing ceremony was held in Mexico City, following regional events in Veracruz, Jalisco and Nuevo León.
With the participation of more than 350 students from public institutions throughout the country, Samsung Mexico officially closed the 2024 edition of its Samsung Innovation Campus educational program, in an event held in its showroom in Mexico City.
The initiative is part of the company's commitment to train young people in key technological skills for their integration into the labor market. This year, the program focused on Artificial Intelligence and Leadership Skills, with a 150-hour diploma course —130 in AI and 20 in leadership—, taught in mixed mode for 18 weeks. The graduates received a certificate with curricular value that accredits the knowledge acquired.
The closing event was hosted by artist Daniela Magún, who accompanied the students with her energy and enthusiasm. Executives from Samsung Mexico also participated: Thomas Yun, president; Karen Goldberg, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Director of Mobile Marketing; and Lorena De Lima, Senior Manager of Social Responsibility, who offered messages of recognition for the efforts of young people.

Representatives of the University of Monterrey (UDEM), an institution allied with the program, were also present. Isabella Navarro Grueter, vice-rector for Integral Training, and Patricio de la Garza, vice-rector for Academic Services and Liaison, attended as part of the academic delegation.
Among the special guests were Lee Jinwoo, commercial attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Mexico; Guillermo Bernal, of the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico (AmCham); and Jorge Juraidini, executive director of the Business Council. They all agreed on the need to continue promoting technological education in the country.
Samsung Innovation Campus is part of the company's global mission to generate a positive social impact through access to technology education, in a context in which skills such as critical thinking, data analysis and ethical handling of artificial intelligence are increasingly in demand.
