Danfoss to build new factory in Mexico

Danfoss construirá una nueva fábrica en México

Latin America. Danfoss has announced the construction of a new factory in Apodaca, in the state of Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to meet the growing demand for compressors and sensors in North America.

The new facility, with an area of 20,000m2, will produce medium and large scroll compressors, pressure sensors for HVAC/R and A2L leak detection sensors for residential and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning. The plant will be operational by the end of 2024 with a production capacity of 100,000 compressor units, 1.6 million pressure sensors and 1 million A2L leak detection sensors.

The construction of the new factory is part of Danfoss' ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategy to deliver localized production to customers and ensure supply chain flexibility and security for the future.

"We are very proud to produce these refrigeration solutions in Mexico and increase our support and commitment to the market," said Xavier Casas, CEO of Danfoss Mexico, at the groundbreaking ceremony. The new manufacturing plant will employ more than 400 people, an additional 25% growth to what Danfoss already has in Mexico.
