Daikin announced the arrival of R-32 to the Chilean market

R-32

Chile. The Japanese manufacturer announced the arrival of the ecological refrigerant R-32 to the Chilean market through an air conditioning unit for residential use: the MiniSplit Sensira.

R-32 has a global warming potential (GWP) three times lower than R-410A, one of the most widely used refrigerants so far. In addition, it is more affordable, easy to recycle and efficient, offering higher yields that are around 4% in cold and 5% in heating.

"Daikin was the world's first manufacturer of units that use R-32 for their operation. Then in 2015 we gave free access to our 93 R-32 patents to encourage their use. The arrival of this refrigerant in Chile by a team that defines a new standard in air conditioning products for the home, the MiniSplit Sensira, are another example of our intention to grow in the local market based on unique solutions, capable of significantly reducing the carbon footprint", says Nicole Figueroa, general manager of Daikin Chile.

Sensira
The MiniSplit Sensira features a flat, minimalist and sleek front panel that easily matches any interior décor and is easier to clean. To this is added seasonal efficiency values up to A + + in refrigeration and the inclusion of Inverter technology, which allows savings by eliminating waste from the operation of air conditioners by efficiently controlling the speed of the engine.

Sensira includes a titanium apatite deodorizing filter: capable of breaking down annoying odors; one of air that eliminates suspended dust particles and allows to reduce humidity levels without variations in the ambient temperature. To ensure maximum comfort, Sensira also stands out for quiet operation, and memorize the settings for the operating mode, fan speed and temperature adjustment to automatically return to them after a power outage.

VRV-R
With a simple and elegant new design, the VRV-R is available in alignments of one or two modules, helping to reduce the total space required for mechanical equipment and optimizing the total costs of a project. Space-saving 16 – 20 T single-module units provide up to 34% space and a weight reduction of up to 500 lbs/unit compared to the previous series. With an IEER (Integrated Energy Efficiency Ratio) of up to 30.0, the VRV-R delivers an efficiency increase of up to 30% compared to previous systems.

Designed to facilitate installation and service with a three-segment panel design, the new VRV ensures reduced wiring costs; Improved installation and maintainability with increased space for easy connections and simplified diagnostics with built-in data logger that stores up to 45 minutes of operational data. VRV-R also integrates with the new Daikin HERO ecosystem, an IoT-based remote diagnostic and monitoring platform. The VRV-R will be available in the coming months.
