United States. As coronavirus concerns mount, IIAR announced the cancellation of its Annual Conference to be held March 15-18 in Orlando.
"We have been closely monitoring events related to the Coronavirus crisis and have communicated with our exhibitors and conference attendees. This morning (March 11) we noticed that the World Health Organization has officially declared the Coronavirus to be a global pandemic," the institute said.
He adds that "given this important announcement by the World Health Organization, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the conference this year. The health and safety of conference attendees remains our primary concern. The IIAR Executive Committee will meet later (yesterday) to review this unprecedented situation and begin developing plans to address appropriate measures in the future."
The institute will now focus on developing strategies for the future and will continue to closely follow this health issue that has forced us to postpone other events of our industry in different countries as well.
