Italsan Americas hospital projects in the region

Latin America. The company Italsan Americas highlighted a series of projects that it has carried out in the last year in some Latin American countries and that are focused on the hospital sector, from the design phase with BIM modeling to the supply phase in construction.

Considered the most modern sanitary facilities project in Central America, it is planned that the sanitary facilities will have a constructed area of 219,000m2 and will be equipped with a total of 43 operating rooms, more than 284 consultations and 1,235 beds.

All plumbing supply, both cold water and hot water supply, is being done with the PP-R Niron Monocapa and Niron Clima polypropylene piping system. Comprising diameters up to 200mm (8") / Subsequently it has been decided to incorporate Niron Clima for ice water instead of steel in the Hospitalization Building.

The chosen joining method has been socket type thermofusion up to 125mm diameter and electro weldable for the larger diameters.

It is worth mentioning the range of electro-weldable accessories of the Niron system, differentiating itself in the market by the availability of electrical accessories in PP-R with figures such as elbows at 90º, elbows at 45º and tes.

Port-au-Prince Provincial Hospital in Haiti

The installation carried out has been the supply of water for human consumption, differentiating the chosen product with the choice of Niron Monocapa RP SDR9 pipe for cold water and Niron Fiber Blue SDR9 pipe reinforced with fiberglass for hot water with the aim of minimizing the aesthetic effects of thermal expansion.

Hospital Sur de Quito

Quito has opted for a new material in the environment of hospital facilities. A welcome novelty due to all the pros provided technically.

From the construction management, facultative and property has been a success story the change of material made from copper to Polypropylene, recognizing all the improvements proposed.  In this hospital the material used has been Niron Clima reinforced with fiberglass SDR11.

Oruro Hospital of Bolivia

In Bolivia, they opted for the Niron System in PP-R as the most reliable piping and fitting system in an installation. Not only in the plumbing part, but in this case, in the entire fancoil air conditioning network of the Hospital.

Italsan explained that the Niron Clima SDR11 range has covered all the needs raised in the installation, from mechanical strength, physical characteristics and antimicrobial properties.
