First Building Automation Days by KNX Latam in Chile: a meeting that exceeded expectations

Chile. On May 15, Santiago de Chile was the scene of the first Building Automation Days by KNX Latam, a face-to-face event that brought together references, leading brands, institutions and professionals from the sector to exchange knowledge, experiences and visions on the future of automation in Latin America.

Thanks to the support of the KNX Chile National Group, this event was positioned as a key meeting point for the projection of the KNX standard in the country. During the event, participants dialogued, analyzed the current state of the sector, explored emerging trends and generated links aimed at new solutions in automation.

The conference featured the valuable intervention of renowned KNX tutors and ambassadors, who contributed their technical perspective and experience in the development of the standard:

  • Gerald Esparza Lagos, KNX Tutor
  • Víctor Caviedes Böttner, KNX Tutor
  • Germán Céspedes Acuña, KNX Tutor and ETS6 Ambassador

The success of the event was also possible thanks to the support of long-standing brands that trusted in this platform of collaboration and innovation:

  • Vimar SpA: Represented by Yessenia Alejandra Moreno Rodríguez and Emilio Doizi
  • ABB: With the participation of Diego Francisco Lizama Godoy
  • JUNG: Represented by Daniel Gómez and Ronald Cabeza
  • BAS Ingenieros: With the support of Manuel Espinoza

Technical and professional training was one of the central axes of the meeting. Institutions such as INACAP, Duoc UC, Universidad Andrés Bello and the SOFOFA High School Network reaffirmed their commitment to the preparation of new generations of automation specialists.

Inspiration and tribute to pioneers

One of the most significant moments was the presentation of Emilio Vega Cárdenas, who presented a success story that evidenced the concrete impact of KNX solutions in real projects. A special tribute was also paid to Jorge Martínez Campo and Jaime Hurtado Pinto, recognized as pioneers of KNX in Chile, for their contribution to the evolution of the standard in the country.

The Building Automation Days by KNX Latam in Chile represents a milestone in the momentum of automation in Latin America. This successful day reaffirms the commitment of the KNX community to advance innovative solutions and to continue strengthening knowledge about smart buildings.

"To everyone who made this event possible, THANK YOU! We continue to move towards a more connected and efficient future," said Víctor Alarcón, Project Manager of KNX Latin America.
