Stulz celebrates 10 years in Mexico and announces regional expansion

Stulz celebró 10 años en México y anunció expansión regional

Mexico. The manufacturer and developer of refrigeration and air conditioning systems for data centers and technological facilities, Stulz, celebrated in Mexico City the tenth anniversary of the opening of its headquarters in the country, in a context of accelerated growth of the data center market.

The company also announced the upcoming opening of new facilities in Mexico and Central America.

"The growth of data centers has been exponential. Fortunately, it is a growing market and it is not a market that grows three or four digits a year and is maintained, coupled with digitalization in the country and in the world. Today, practically any SME has all its digital services. So a great advantage of Stulz is that it comes at a crucial time of growth, of a new value proposition, since there were a couple of local brands and although we already had a representation, we arrived with a new, different proposal and that helps to enhance our service," said Stulz Mexico's Sales Manager.

After this first decade (prior to that they had representation in Mexico), the objectives have been clear. "We knew we had to come up with service, customer service, competitive prices, stock and a distribution program. It is a growing and changing market and it helped a lot that today we have this decade of success," added the executive.

The growth of data centers in Mexico has been constant in recent years, in Mexican regions such as Querétaro, the Bajío and in northern states of the country. Thus, during the event it was announced that Stulz will soon open a production plant in Veracruz.

"When it comes to data centers, each sector moves differently, the hotel sector and the tourism sector are not the same. It is not as critical as banking or the financial sector, where all banking is digital, where financial information is very important and expensive in case of losing it. The southern part of the country is where the tourism sector is strongest and therefore does not have as much impact on data processing. But in the middle and north of the country there are other types of industries, automotive, pharmaceutical, that's why data centers are strong there," Casillas continued.

The Sales Manager also announced the upcoming opening of facilities in Panama: "The trend is all of Central America and the Southern Cone. Something we've learned over the years is that we have to take it one step at a time. Panama was chosen as a starting point where we have a couple of specific commercial and technical activities. Panama was the choice for logistical reasons, but we are serving all of Latin America."

On the topic of data center energy consumption, he stated that his solutions offer various technological advancements. "A great advantage of Stulz is that unlike our competitors, we don't just do HVAC and the entire context of the brand is based on mission-critical air conditioning. So the brand has more than 11 production plants and in each plant there is design, development, engineering areas, which are working on technologies every day. Today we have to offer those kinds of solutions."
