Ziehl-Abegg shared his conclusions after his participation in Chillventa virtual

Ziehl-AbeggInternational. Ziehl-Abegg narrated his experience of participation in the last digital fair of Chillventa, which was held from October 13 to 15. The company said it was a new and challenging way to process an exhibition. "The new format was more international than the traditional Nuremberg fair," says Peter Fenkl, CEO of Ziehl-Abegg. "In addition to the general technological aspects of fans and controls, we spoke to 'visitors' about trends related to new fan technology for cooling applications, as well as our new cloud solution: ZAbluegalaxy."

The fan manufacturer used knowledge based on Mother Nature, transformed and applied with the latest development tools to design the most efficient and quieter fans. In some panels, Ziehl-Abegg experts showcased new products and solutions. With a clear focus on digitalization: this is an essential driver of present and future developments. A big point of interest was the value of modernization in the world of Refrigeration and HVAC. Experts explained the possibility of saving money in two years by changing the old technology of fans and motors for a new one.

"My colleagues reported unsatisfactory communication at the online levels without direct physical contact with our customers, especially on complex issues," Fenkl explains. "This is, on the one hand, sad, but in the current circumstances it is still the best thing we can do and we appreciate it very much. It shows that the industry is flexible enough to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and needs."

Fenkl stresses that "we still have to remember that, even in these difficult circumstances, we have to set course for the business of tomorrow." He adds: "That's why we were represented in such an elaborate way in the digital Chillventa." But the CEO is sure that nothing can replace personal contact: "We are eager to return to having a direct and personal interaction with our customers."

Ziehl-Abegg showed a deep knowledge of the company producing fans and electric motors. "Quality starts with mindset," explains CEO Fenkl. From development to production and sales, quality is always on the mind. The latest with the development of Covid-19, the world learned that supply chains are very fragile. This supports Ziehl-Abegg's strategy of producing as much as possible themselves and in the global region to ensure the company can deliver on delivery promises. Ziehl-Abegg produces fans made of ZAmid high-performance steel, aluminium or composite material and has its own electronic production.
