Daikin bets on its VRV technology in the Colombian market

Colombia. Daikin announced its commitment to innovation and assured that it continues to grow within the Colombian market. With its Variable Refrigerant Technology (VRV) and proprietary Inverter technology, Daikin becomes a market visionary, transforming the experience of its consumers and customers.

"At Daikin we believe there is always room for improvement, and this belief is the driving force behind everything we do. From small improvements in the production process, to major breakthroughs that result in 70% energy savings, we aim to inspire technological change. That has been the premise of the company for more than 90 years," said Andres Isaza, manager of Daikin in Colombia.

A good example is the Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV), the first multisplit HVAC equipment for commercial and residential buildings. Daikin VRV systems reduce energy consumption by optimizing seasonal performance through efficient indoor and outdoor units, innovative technologies and intelligent energy management controls.

Designed to provide comfort thanks to the control of several zones, it allows to precisely manage the climate of different areas and rooms. Its intelligent ground and presence sensors direct air away to create the perfect airflow, while the Variable Coolant Temperature prevents drafts.

The indoor units arrive with two sensors (presence and temperature) that direct the air flow considering the comfort of the user, while the Variable Refrigerant Temperature prevents drafts.

Created by Daikin, the variable refrigerant technology automatically adapts the temperature of the refrigerant to the load to achieve optimal comfort for the user and increases seasonal efficiency by up to 28% when compared to other solutions. Units with automatic cleaning function increase savings by 50% compared to standard cassette and duct units. Meanwhile, the innovative heat recovery system reuses energy more efficiently for comfort heating and cooling and hot water production. In this way, VRV systems have raised market standards for performance and climate comfort. Total design simplicity offers fast installation and comprehensive flexibility with absolute efficiency and comfort.

For its part, its Inverter Technology maximizes energy efficiency to provide comfortable temperatures all year round.  Rather than spending energy starting and stopping, the Inverter adjusts the speed of the motor by increasing or reducing it so that it works continuously and with more efficiency in the long term. Maintaining a uniform pace, Daikin's Inverter technology reduces consumption by 30% compared to traditional on/off systems.
