Spain. This November 16 began the International Exhibition of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, C & R 2021, organized by IFEMA Madrid until November 19. This fair will represent an important revulsive to revitalize the activity of the sector in a context that guarantees security and allows the recovery "face to face" of commercial relations.
More than 304 companies from 14 countries, along 47,000 m2 of exhibition, make up the event par excellence, of the thermal installations sector, which was inaugurated on the morning of November 16 by the Deputy Director General of Quality and Industrial Safety of the Ministry of Industry, Jose Manuel Prieto, and which celebrates in style the professional reunion, after more than a year without meeting in face-to-face events.
On this occasion, C&R focuses on all those novelties that come to respond to the currents of digital and ecological transition that preside over the European regulatory framework, as well as innovative solutions and equipment aimed at improving health guarantees from the control of indoor air quality, ventilation, the comfort and safety of users, in line with the needs that the pandemic situation has revealed. C&R's offering also showcases the latest in the use of renewable energy sources, reduces CO2 emissions, the use of greener refrigerants, and the application of advanced technologies that improve equipment functionalities and offer better functionalities for its installation.
Towards the recovery of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration sectors
This strategic edition of C&R will also serve to demonstrate how the HVAC and refrigeration sectors are strongly undertaking their recovery. In this regard, the Sectoral Associations take stock of the situation, evolution and trends of the market, with a view to boosting their respective sectors and the challenge represented by a future marked by the global climate emergency, as well as a more sustainable energy consumption and with a greater presence of renewable energy sources.
According to AFEC, the air conditioning market reached a turnover of more than 1,200 million in 2019, and in 2020 it exceeded the initial forecasts despite the difficulties and uncertainties; for its part, from AEFYT they point out that, in recent years until 2019, the Cold sector registered growth of between 7% and 15%, with a turnover of more than 5,000 million, 22,000 direct jobs and employability rates of 100%. In reference to Heating, FEGECA ensures that the domestic hot water and heating market in 2021 is greatly influenced by the wave of renovation of buildings in Europe, which allows very interesting future prospects.
