HARDI Mexico Distributors to Connect Qualified Contractors with Food Banks

HARDI MéxicoMexico. HARDI Mexico officially announced that it has started a new initiative to support the Mexican Food Bank system.

More than 40 million people in Mexico depend on the country's 55 food banks. Mexico has plans to build 30 more locations and needs to make sure they are built as efficiently and professionally as possible. HARDI Mexico distributors will connect qualified contractors with food banks to help achieve this goal.

"This implies that we must give the best advice on the construction of cold rooms, with the most efficient equipment and the lowest costs so that we can help more and more food can reach at affordable prices to the people most affected by this situation throughout Mexico," Guitze Messina, Executive Director of HARDI Mexico, told ACR.

The Hardi Mexico Board of Directors approved a partnership with local Mexican food banks. This program will introduce qualified contractors to local food banks, who will help build, repair and maintain food bank refrigeration facilities, reducing their costs.

Manufacturers have pledged to offer discounts and donations; however, the main goal of the program is to help food banks reduce operating costs.

"Distributors will also negotiate special prices for food banks with manufacturers who wish to support this initiative as well. Currently the manufacturers that make up the Board of Directors have given their support and we hope that the other partners of HARDI Mexico will also give their support to this initiative. This is the time to help relieve a little of the pressure in which thousands of inhabitants live in Mexico and this is a field in which our partners have the best knowledge of the country and therefore in this task we undoubtedly have a lot to contribute, "added Guitze.

On the expectations, he commented that "the expectations are that the various food banks can reduce their costs of installation, repair and maintenance of their cold rooms and thus be able to bring more food at lower operational costs to more people and this in turn will allow the creation of more food banks to help more people. It is a virtuous circle that we must be part of because Mexico comes first."
