United States. Carel inaugurated the expansion of its plant in Manheim, Pennsylvania. The addition of 40,000 square feet to the Group's North American headquarters will help increase the brand's presence in the U.S., Canadian and Mexican markets and support the Group's future growth.
Carel explained that the doubling of the Group's production plant and headquarters in North America will bring significant improvements in the level of service provided to the market and in procurement timelines, increasing the number of employees in Manheim to around 70, most of which are involved in operations, logistics, human resources, finance, quality, R&D and marketing, supply chain and customer service.
The opening ceremony was attended by Aliyah Stanger, Southeast Regional Director of the Department of Community and Economic Development; Aaron Schwartz, president of the Manheim Chamber of Commerce, and Ryan Aumentar and Mindy Fee, respectively senator and representative of Pennsylvania's 36th and 37th districts.
In addition to speeches from local authorities, Martino Manfrin, CEO of Carel USA, and Pietro Rossato, Chief Operating Officer of Carel Group, addressed the audience of 115 Carel USA employees and a selected group of suppliers and customers.

"This investment is in line with what we have defined as the pillars of our industrial development: the proximity of factories to the market, with obvious benefits in terms of service, reduction of working capital and optimization of the supply chain, business continuity through technology, duplication and replication of processes between different plants, and digitalization.
The company added that with the additional space available at the new plant, they will be able to expand the range of "U.S.-made" products; as the entire range of programmable controllers, which will also be manufactured entirely in the United States. "The expansion of the Manheim site represents an important step in our international development plans, announced with the public listing last year, supporting the growth of our business in North America," the company said in a statement.
