Mexico. With a massive attendance, the AHR Expo Mexico successfully held its 14th edition, which was inaugurated with the presence of Sheila Hayart, President of ASHRAE USA; Clay Stevens, International President of AHR Expo; Brian Brisson, Minister Counsellor for Commercial Services, U.S. Embassy; Mr. Francis Dietz, Vice President of Public Affairs, AHRI; Darío Ibargüengoitia, President of the ASHRAE Mexico City Chapter, and Santiago Creuheras, General Director of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability of the Ministry of Energy.

Around 350 brands presented the latest in Air Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation and Refrigeration equipment and systems at Centro Citibanamex, Mexico City, where some 15,000 people (unofficial estimates) walked the runners of the event. Some of the technologies presented by the brands and the most striking were focused on ice water cooling systems as well as VRF technology, which continues to grow more and more. In refrigeration, the large cooling systems, evaporators and compressors, as well as the options of new refrigerants caught the attention of visitors.

The AHR Expo Mexico also celebrated its 20th anniversary as the most important exhibition in Latin America and is held in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City every two years. AHR Expo originated in the United States in 1930, with the first exhibition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Currently it is also performed in the cities of Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando and Atlanta.

The first day of activities began with the training cycle at the Theater of New Technologies, in which various exhibitors presented state-of-the-art products and services among which refrigeration and automation lines stand out, and later other topics on Wireless and Self-Powered Technology for the monitoring and control of Real estate, among others.
