Colombia. Again, the public responded to the call of the Asociación de Gestores de Edificios Modernos (AGEM) to comply with the third meeting in which basic concepts in building security were discussed.
The presentation, held in one of the auditoriums of the Eafit University of Medellín, was in charge of the engineer César Torres Millán, consultant and technology manager of PSII, who spoke about the different technological alternatives and installation of CCTV systems, access control, intrusion alarms, fire systems, integration, among others.
At the end of the meeting, Adolfo Flores, maintenance engineer of Fire Protection of Colombia, commented "that this type of talks are very interesting because they update us on the state in which the systems are and on the new regulations that are coming out. I think this initiative is very good, it is the first time I attend and the issues that are discussed are very important."
For his part, Eduardo Firstman, architect of MásBio Construcciones, said: "I believe that a very good job of loyalty is being done with professionals. This is a platform that serves to provide knowledge to people who do not handle the issues of building operation well."
César Torres, explained the objectives of the talk he gave: "The idea was that people knew first-hand all the security systems, the typical cases that are handled in the market and the mistakes that are made. With AGEM we are on the right track, the idea is that the end customer feels more accompanied and that this type of space allows people to be more involved before making important decisions for their buildings".
