The ACR industry grows in Latin America

I am very pleased to write to thank all those companies, technicians and professionals who supported us in the eighth version of RefriAméricas in Medellín, Colombia. Our idea is to grow more and more and deliver the information that industry players in Latin America require.

Every year we seek to be a reference of training for the region, because as our lecturer William Morales, from Peru, told us, "training is essential to achieve growth, if we want Latin America to be surpassed and to have a higher level of development, professionals have to be educated continuously".

And this becomes more important when we realize that both the refrigeration and air conditioning industries are developing even more in 2011.

The refrigeration sector is showing positive changes due to the plurality of resources and investors that come to the region; in addition to the improvement and technification of production processes that have made the Latin American industry that requires refrigeration increase demand. The sectors that are most marking these changes are agro-industrial, food and beverages, something that some attendees of RefriAméricas could verify in the guided visits to the cultivation of Sayonara flowers and the Mimo's Ice Cream factory.

For its part, air conditioning continues to gain ground in Latin America due to the heat wave that has been occurring in some countries in the region. For example, in the Colombian Atlantic Coast, sales of mini splits increased in June between 30% and 40% compared to May 2011. It also happened in Mexico, where, according to data from marketers, in the first four months of the year sales for the domestic sector increased by 90%.

With this development landscape, plus good training programs, the industry in the region will continue to grow and consolidate.

From now on I invite you to send us the topics that you think we could develop in Refriaméricas 2012 to the mail [email protected]
