The National Government, through Operation Cambalache, plans to replace 5,000 air conditioning units with high electricity consumption in the state of Carabobo, as part of the energy saving policies promoted in the country.
The Minister of Electric Energy, Luis Motta Dominguez, led the day of changes that took place at the headquarters of Zone 41 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), located in Valencia, capital of the entity.
Operation Cambalache will be activated in Carabobeño territory serving families from the 14 municipalities and to date more than 2,333 teams of 12,000 and 18,000 BTUs have been replaced in the state.
At the national level, in the first phase of the Cambalache operation, it is planned to change 2 million equipment throughout the country, which will save between 4,000 and 5,000 megawatts. "In addition, these high-performance equipment will allow a saving in turnover of up to 60%," he said.
The Minister also mentioned that after this phase of air replacement, a day of sale of these equipment acquired under the China-Venezuela agreement will begin, through the Mi Casa Bien Equipada program.
In this regard, he said that the Government will make these sales through a digitized format, in order to avoid the resale of these items.
During this day of substitution, the Ministry donated two air equipment to an equal number of families who do not have the resources to acquire one of these equipment.
