Trane bets on energy efficiency in its new solutions

Lanzamiento Trane

Mexico. The AHR Expo Mexico 2023 was the scenario chosen by Trane to launch two new solutions, which were designed with specific developments in features such as automation and efficient use of energy.

During the event, the company officially presented the SEER 16 Inverter minisplit and the CXAU VFD modular chiller unit to an auditorium filled with customers and media.

"The two main novelties of these products are related to the evolution of the electronic part. New technologies allow us to make better use of electronic components in the functions of control, alarm monitoring, optimization of the operation with energy savings, "said Jaime Jimenez, vice president of Product of Trane for Latin America, in dialogue with ACR Latinoamérica.

"Constantly evolving to more environmentally friendly equipment has become a necessity and we are achieving that task through energy efficiency," said the executive.

Minisplits Inverter SEER 16
These devices use a variable speed compressor, R-410A refrigerant, 12~2 4MBH and a heat pump. In addition, they feature a unique Trane panel and control, as well as 3-speed control, Smart Air Flow, error diagnosis and four modes of operation: cooling, heating, ventilation and dehumidification.

The minisplit Inverter SEER 16 are silent and can be operated via Wi-Fi for switching on and off, temperature adjustments, speed control, flow direction adjustment and sleep curve. In addition, they detect the temperature of the environment by remote control and offer good performance in both summer and winter.

CXAU VFD modular chiller unit
It is an air-cooled modular unit that complies with the ASHRAE 90.1-2022 standard, in relation to full and partial load efficiencies, which also adapts to demanding weather conditions during the summer and winter.

It features a variable compressor as well as a dual-circuit design so that if one circuit fails, the other keeps running, ensuring continuous operation. Another feature is its energy-saving mode, which automatically increases the temperature of the supply water when the internal temperature reference point is reached during the summer.

What's Next: Remote Operation and Artificial Intelligence
Trane is currently developing a suite of digital services for the remote operation of its products. In this way, the company seeks to offer lower costs to users.

"This will save the costs of maintenance and operation of buildings, but above all it will allow us to react preventively to problems and identify any optimization opportunities to lower consumption. Additionally, thanks to artificial intelligence and its algorithms, we will be able to receive constant feedback to optimize the systems," concluded Jiménez.

Saves cost of maintenance and operation of buildings for customers but above all improves monitoring, control and optimization of the operation because it allows us to react preventively to problems and identify any optimization opportunity to lower consumption, Artificial Intelligence and its algorithms will be feeding us all the time to optimize our systems.
