Mexico. Daikin developed a series of equipment that allows the use of R32, a state-of-the-art refrigerant that reduces the environmental impact since its components have no impact on the ozone layer and its global warming potential (GWP) or heat retention in the atmosphere, is 30% lower than that emitted by hydrocarbons such as R-410A, the refrigerant most used in the market.
With the launch and gradual integration of R32 to the market, and that will arrive in Mexico at the end of the year, the brand seeks to significantly reduce the carbon footprint in its various air and heating systems and reaching 24% less CO2 impact by 2030 in normal environments.
Javier Moreno General Manager of Solutions & Service for Daikin and Vice President of the air conditioning sector at ANFAD stressed that "our central commitment is in innovation, in the permanent search for new alternatives that companies and users have energy-efficient equipment that results in savings of up to 40% in electricity consumption without affecting performance".
"The experience we have in the intelligent management of refrigerant gases has allowed us to be the first company to integrate this hydrocarbon in the Mexican market, since being a gas of low flammability, with minimal environmental impact, Low Atmospheric Warming Potential (GWP) is easy to recover and reuse, a situation that allows companies a quick recovery of their initial investment with the economic savings derived from energy efficiency" highlighted the specialist.
With the implementation in Mexico of the R32 refrigerant for residential and commercial air systems through the so-called minisplits and SkyAir units respectively, Daikin seeks to be a key ally in the search for a green economy where social welfare is strictly linked with a significant reduction in environmental impact.
