International. The new production plant of the Carel Group was inaugurated on July 16. The plant is located in the Suzhou area, recognized as an innovative and technologically important district of China.
The new establishment of the Subsidiary of Carel Electronic Suzhou, installed in 2005, has been created with the aim of strengthening production for the Chinese market and consolidating the Group's presence in the Asia Pacific region.
In the more than 15,000 m2 of the new complex, a significant area will be dedicated to Research & Development, which through its innovative laboratory will focus especially on the development of new technologies.
The more than 50 people working in R&D will contribute to making the new research center a more important center of key competencies, useful for developing technologically advanced solutions in line with the expectations of all the company's customers in China and in the APAC region.
"When we built the first plant in 2005, we were convinced of the importance of investing in this market," said Francesco Nalini, CEO of Carel. "The opening of the new production plant in the Suzhou district confirms that we made the right decision in the past, and opens up great prospects for the future. The construction of this new plant symbolizes our dedication and continued commitment to creating a center of excellence in China and a benchmark for Asia."
The ribbon cutting was attended by the company's founders, Luigi Nalini, Luigi Rossi Luciani and Francesco Nalini, CEO Carel, as well as representatives from Suzhou New District, Wang Mo, Huang Feng and Simon Xie; and the Italian consul in Shanghai, Michele Cecchi, who personally opened the ceremony.
Other personalities present at the event were the president of the Chinese Association of Refrigeration, Jin Jiawei, and representatives of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, Lorenzo Riccardi and Emanuela Vizzaro, as well as the two carel managers directly involved in the development of the new plant: Alberto Catullo, CEO North APAC, and Luciano Marzo, Managing Director Carel China.
