Educate the end user

A few days ago I was talking to a local journalist about the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, and I realized that I had no idea what was happening in this sector and how it influences society and the environment.

I was very surprised by his attitude to the information about the replacement of refrigerants and the Montreal Protocol, but especially to what was a refrigerant, he even came to think that the substitution involved creating a new kind of refrigerator or freezer. However, he mentioned something that is important: how to make ordinary people understand this industry and its benefits? Yes, people only know what a refrigerator is, a supermarket refrigerator and, if anything, a cold room, but they really do not know how these products affect the environment, beyond the equipment that burns fossil fuels, and they do not know how the new actions of the industry can help their economy and take care of the environment. You and we know about these implications, but end users don't quite know the difference between one model of an air conditioning system or another, they don't know why they should change their old refrigerators, or what a refrigerant is. I believe that in our hands is to educate the end user, using a common language so that they are an active part of the industry and above all so that they know how to choose and are not fooled when acquiring any of the systems.
