UBV COP16 – Waste Paper in the Climate Change Village

As we have already mentioned, the team of Un Blog Verde this week visited the climate change village that is located in Cancun very close to the COP16 headquarters. The village of climate change is very interesting, every day there are different activities, information and anyone who goes can learn a lot of things related to the environment and find out a little more about what is happening at the COP, plus the entrance has no cost.

The only thing that caught my attention and to tell the truth I did not like, is the amount of advertising and paper used by the companies that are in the stands, we were around 4 hours, there was not much movement since it was the first day and I received 28 brochures (as you can see in the photo) and only one (Declaration of biointensive agriculture in the face of climate change, of the Federal Government) is recycled paper, I believe that in an Ecological Village everyone should be like this. Imagine now that we multiply the 28 brochures by all the people who will attend during the 16 days. How much paper was not wasted?

This Saturday, December 4 is one of the busiest days, and we will return to the Villa to share all the possible information, again I will return home with all the brochures I receive to show you the amount of paper that is being used that unfortunately very little will be reused.
