This new headquarters of the Dutch wholesale chain located where the Makro Calle 80 parking lot was formerly located, made a significant investment in refrigeration systems. For this 4,300-square-meter hypermarket, Makro chose [Weston](https://weston.com.co/) to supply and install a variety of eco-friendly options, including cold rooms, murals, refrigeration cabinets, self-contained panoramic islands and walk-in coolers. Makro now has a transcritical CO2 cooling system, which reduces operating costs, does not affect the ozone layer and demonstrates the chain's commitment to reducing its carbon footprint. It has a higher load capacity than a self-service and is ideal for a variety of products such as meats, dairy and frozen.
