In addition, James Carlin, Product Manager for PCI Industries, a member of the AMCA Code Action Review Committee and the AMCA Marketing Task Force, presented the "Smoke and Fire/Smoke Gate Basics." In this framework, it was highlighted that specialists in the HVAC sector must learn about the different types of gates that exist in the market to prevent the passage of smoke and fire between the rooms of a building, when it is on fire. The importance of having information that helps determine which are the most suitable products for the different types of buildings, as well as the installation, performance and testing of the equipment, was also addressed.
