Spain sets its sights on Latin America

ACR Latin America visited the last edition of Climatización & Refrigeración, an event held in Madrid and with the participation of more than 360 companies from 24 countries.

By ACR Latin America

For the first time we decided to cross the continent in person and visit the main fair of the Iberian market. An event that was held from February 28 to March 3 in the pavilions of Ifema and that hinted that Latin America is a market in the process of expanding business for Spanish companies and for some European companies.

This commercial event, which included all sectors, from air conditioning, heating, ventilation, to industrial and commercial refrigeration, brought together the novelties in equipment and solutions of about 700 companies -360 companies from 24 countries of  direct participation- and received the visit 49,935 professionals from 82 countries. Numbers that ratify the good moment that the industry is going through there.

Although it is a European fair, attention was drawn to the wide range of Spanish manufacturers that have already been doing business for several years in Latin America, especially in southern countries such as Chile, and in areas of the Andean region such as Peru and Colombia.

Joaquín Álvarez, industrial technical engineer of the company Koolair, and who is in charge of the Latin American zone, commented that "we have several businesses in Latin America and I have the mission of increasing our presence in that market that is growing".

For his part, Juan Antonio Hinojosa, Aquatherm's engineer, said that he constantly makes visits to Peru, since the company has a strong presence there and also wants to expand its market to other countries.

Meanwhile, Giovanna Purchiaroni, who is the marketing representative of the company Hitecsa, stressed that her firm already has an important presence in the Latin American market and that she hopes to continue increasing its participation in the coming years.

In conclusion, the experience was very useful, technologies developed in Europe were known with a lot of potential to enter Latin America and continue to boost the market. We will be watching how business thrives between both regions of the world.
