Solar energy in Mexico could cover 35% of electricity demand by 2024

Mexico. According to an analysis carried out by the company Enlight, solar energy in Mexico is becoming increasingly competitive against traditional energy sources such as that provided by CFE, due to the high demand of private consumers and companies.

The installation of solar panels, made up of photovoltaic cells, has been maximized in recent years, achieving that solar energy in Mexico has even been regulated due to the growth of its self-consumption.

To make the most of solar energy in Mexico, the company explains that it is important to know its latitude to locate the solar panels with an orientation that has greater capacity to absorb said energy.

Thanks to the interconnected systems between the solar panels and the CFE's electricity grid, solar energy can be used in Mexico. This way of generating energy is gradually replacing storage systems since its configuration has made its implementation more economical because the use of expensive batteries is eliminated.

When talking about solar energy in Mexico, it is common for a private consumer to wonder what is the benefit of installing solar panels in their home if they pay more than 2,500 pesos bimonthly for light.

The fact is that those users with a high consumption of electricity have the ability to reduce their energy costs by up to 97% if they take advantage of solar energy in Mexico with the installation of solar panels.

To contribute to environmental change it is necessary to start taking seriously the widespread implementation of solar energy in Mexico in order to reduce the high levels of national and global pollution. The electricity grid provided by CFE is very polluting, so take advantage of alternative energy sources as  a solution to achieve environmental balance.

Today it is possible to finance solar energy in Mexico through the Infonavit Mortgage. Cash payment is no longer necessary to purchase a solar panel system. The technological innovation of these systems has made it possible to reduce the price of equipment.

It is forecast that in 2024 solar energy in Mexico will be able to cover 35% of the country's electricity demand.

The growth of solar energy consumption in Mexico has been so exponential, once it has received government support, that it is expected that in just seven years (2024) it can cover 35% of the demand for traditional electricity.
