Brazil. On the initiative of the National Departments of the Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (Abrava), those of Environment (DNMA) and Commerce (DNC) and the Environmental Company of the State of São Paulo (Cetesb), the reactivation of the Environmental Chamber of the HAVC-R sector was made official, whose objective is to develop good techniques and environmental practices for industry and the environment.
The agreement was reached on March 31. According to the president of the chamber, Pablo Neulaender, and also vice president of Environment of Abrava, "with the reactivation of the Chamber, Abrava takes another important step together with the Government of Sao Paulo through this work with Cetesb, which is undoubtedly the most positive action for the industry and will bring good results for all involved."
The Departments of Environment and Commerce will join forces to strengthen actions in favor of the sector, and are also together in this partnership with Cetesb, which aims to present and discuss solutions for important demands in the segments represented that have a direct relationship with the preservation of the environment.
In the agenda of this first meeting, various topics were discussed, but the cadri regulation was highlighted, which is a mandatory environmental license for all companies in the state of São Paulo that want to change their environmental interest of waste for treatment, reprocessing, storage or disposal premises. The theme was defined as the first work to be developed by the Board in this time of reactivation.
