Academic Committee of TecnoEdificios is now ready

Congreso 2011TecnoEdificios is consolidating its working group for the 2012 edition that will be held between November 8 and 9 at the Plaza Mayor Convention Center in Medellín, Colombia. That is why it has already confirmed the Comité Académico made up of different professionals in the industry and with specific knowledge in all areas of technological operation in a building.

Local and international experts joined this initiative, which seeks to offer a program of conferences consistent with the line of the congress and with the best quality, aimed at an audience specialized in the areas of maintenance, administration and operation of property systems. Currently, according to the Sustainable Construction Council of Colombia, the global built environment represents drinking water consumption of 20%, cultivated wood of 25%, energy use of between 30 and 40% and a use of raw materials between 40 and 50%. For these reasons, the congress offers alternatives and current strategies to minimize these expenses that will also mean savings for the property and a greater contribution to the environment. The invited professionals have worked for several years within the different themes proposed by TecnoEdificios: security, air conditioning, sustainability, automation and integration. "For us it will be an honor to participate in the Academic Committee, since we are aligned with the academic cut of the event; we think we have a lot to contribute," said Carlos Felipe Salcedo, energy efficiency manager at Schneider Electric. In the same way, Jaime Calvo, general manager of J & V Alarms, who has more than 12 years of experience providing conferences on electronic security issues and who considers it important to participate in this type of events that seek to train and publicize the latest trends in technology. To date, there are seven professionals who will advise the congress in 2012:
- Carlos Felipe Salcedo, Efficiency Manager, Schneider Electric
